App Templates
Templates make it easier to create multiple apps that are similar, without creating them from scratch each time. Instead of manually copying settings from each app, you can save and rename an existing app as a template and reuse it whenever you need.
This is especially useful for teams managing similar workflows across multiple channels e.g., a support team that sets up a separate support app for each customer.
Note: A template is an app that has not yet been installed into a channel. When you import an existing app as a template, it becomes available for future installations without affecting the original app.
Managing app templates
App templates are available in the Admin console. Navigate to Admin console > Apps > Templates. From the Templates tab you can:
- Import standard templates (Support, Incident management, Bug tracking, Jira integration, Zendesk integration) or import from your own installed apps
- Add a new template from scratch using the + Add template button
- Reorder templates by dragging them; this defines the order apps appear in the app installation list
- Copy a template to create a duplicate
- Delete a template you no longer need
Importing app templates
Click the Import button to open the dialog. You can choose from:
- Standard templates – a set of pre-built templates provided by Conclude, including Support, Incident management, Bug tracking, Jira integration, and Zendesk integration
- Installed apps – import any app already installed in your workspace as a template
Installing and using app templates
Once you have your templates set up, they will appear in the app installation list each time you install a new app and will replace the standard app list.
To install an app template from your list:
- Go to the channel where you want to install the app
- Use the app install command or navigate to Apps > Install
- Select the app template you want to use from the list
- The app will be installed with the template’s pre-configured settings
