[**Admin console > Users and access > API keys**](https://conclude.io/admin/apikeys) appears only for organizations in the beta program. Here an admin issues the keys that your own tools use with the [Conclude API](https://conclude.io/doc/api/), and revokes them.

A key has a name, an expiry date and a set of scopes that say what it can do. It always acts as someone: as the admin who issued it, or, with a role that Conclude grants, as Conclude on behalf of many people. Conclude shows the key's secret only once. An organization can have at most 20 active keys.

[Keys and tokens](https://conclude.io/doc/api/authentication/) has the steps to issue a key, what each kind of key reaches, and how a tool turns the key into an access token.
