What is a cookie?
A cookie is information stored by a website on a visitor’s computer or mobile device, that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Websites can also keep similar information in the browser’s local storage. This policy covers both, and calls them cookies.
How we use cookies
We use three kinds of cookies on conclude.io:
- Necessary cookies make the website and the Conclude app work. They are always active.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it. We only set them if you allow them.
- Advertising cookies help us measure how well our ads on Google work. We only set them if you allow them.
We do not show ads on our website, and we do not sell information about our visitors.
Your choices
When you first visit our website, a banner asks which cookies you allow. You can allow all of them, reject all of them, or choose under Customize. Until you choose, we set no analytics or advertising cookies.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies, or block them, in your browser’s settings. If you block necessary cookies, parts of our website and the Conclude app may not work.
Necessary cookies and local storage
Only one of these is a cookie. The others are kept in your browser’s local storage, which our website reads but your browser does not send with each visit.
| Name | Stored as | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
conclude_refresh_token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in to the Conclude app | 1 year |
cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers which cookies you allow | Until you clear it |
signedIn | Local storage | Shows the right sign-in or dashboard button | Until you clear it |
theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you prefer a light or dark theme | Until you clear it |
conclude_campaign | Local storage | Remembers which Conclude campaign link brought you to our website, so we can credit it if you sign up | Until you clear it |
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to collect statistics such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at our website, and roughly where they are located.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells visitors apart | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Keeps track of a visit | 2 years |
Advertising cookies
We advertise Conclude on Google. With your permission, Google Ads, a service of Google LLC, records when someone who saw or clicked one of our ads later visits our website or signs up, so we can see which ads work. Google may also add your browser to a list of visitors to our website, which we can use to show our ads to you on Google Search and other websites.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Links visits to our website with our Google ads | 90 days |
_gcl_aw | Remembers the Google ad you clicked to reach our website | 90 days |
Google also uses cookies on its own domains, such as google.com and doubleclick.net, for these purposes. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services to learn more, and visit Google’s ad settings to control the ads Google shows you.
If you reject analytics or advertising cookies
We do not set the cookies above, and Google does not read or write cookies for these purposes. Google’s tags still send basic information without cookies, such as that a page was viewed. This information carries no cookie identifiers, and Google uses it to estimate overall visitor numbers and ad results.
Embedded content
Some pages show YouTube videos, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and LinkedIn posts. YouTube and LinkedIn may set their own cookies when you watch a video or view a post. Their own cookie policies apply.
